Change is inevitable, Growth is optional

Change is inevitable, Growth is optional“, is a very relevant quote in all spheres of life.

Jack Canfield a leading life changing coach in the US has said Change is inevitable in life, you can either resist and potentially get run over by it, or you can choose to cooperate with it, adapt to it, and learn how to benefit from it. When you embrace change, you will begin to see it as an opportunity for growth.

An individual is at regularly at crossroads in every field of life, surrounded by a similar situation. How best you adapt to change will be reflected in the results you have.

Your professional life or your career can adapt to change by acquiring the relevant skills. Thus you will be always a Linchpin for your organisation.

What exactly a linchpin means is best explained in the book by same name written by Seth Godin. But at a very basic level linchpin means being so good at your work that you are irreplaceable for your organisation.

You can only become irreplaceable being on the run and acquiring new skills and doing exceptionally well work. Always remember that you can keep on adapting to change happening in your trade, and always be relevant to the organisation you are working. The next option you have is not to adapt to change and being irrelevant to the organisation.

While this may sound unrealistically true, more than 60% of the work force is not happy or is underpaid as they are trying not to upgrade their skills. This leaves them vulnerable to easy replacement..

This leaves the employee with only one option and that is you keep on adapting to changing market dynamics. Which is as good as adapting to change.
